Warum Bio-Baumwolle? Ist doch viel teurer!

Genau diese Frage habe ich mir auch am Anfang gestellt. Kann doch eigentlich kein so großer Unterschied sein. Man glaubt es nicht, aber Bio-Baumwolle bringt viele Vorteile mit sich.

Das Problem bei Baumwolle ist, dass sie extrem anfällig für Insekten ist. Stellt euch mal vor, ungefähr 1/4 vom gesamten Insektizidmarkt wird für Bio-Baumwolle benötigt. Nicht nur dass, oftmals ist normale Baumwolle auch noch gentechnisch verändert! Dazu kommt auch noch, dass die Baumwolle mit chemischem Dünger herangezüchtet wird. Wo bleibt da die Natur?

Bio-Baumwolle heißt das Stichwort. Weder Insektizide, noch chemische Düngemittel, geschweige denn genteschnisch verändertes Saatgut wird benutzt. Kompost und Mist wird dazu verwendet die Bio-Baumwolle sprießen und gedeien zu lassen.

Wie Modeaffaire so schön sagt: "Jedes Bio-T-Shirt erspart der Umwelt rund 150 Gramm Gift auf dem Acker." Denkt mal darüber nach!

Ökomode was ist das eigentlich?

Um euch die Ökomode ein wenig näherzubringen, möchte ich eine Serie starten, in der sowohl erklärt wird worum es bei ökologischer Mode eigentlich geht, welche Vorteile sie mit sich bringt und welche Verabreitungsschritte durchgegangen werden müssen, bis sie endlich bei euch daheim im Kleiderschrank landet.

Jede Woche möchte ich euch einen neuen, aufschlussreichen Punkt aufzeigen, über den ihr euch vielleicht bisher noch nicht so bewusst wart.

Diese Woche möchte ich mit den Rohstoffen von Ökomode beginnen.

Ohne Rohstoffe keine Kleidung. Soweit dürfte es jedem klar sein. Dass es auch in der Qualität der Rohstoffe Unterschiede gibt, das ist wohl auch bekannt. Von Bio-Baumwolle hat bestimmt jeder schon einmal gehört.
Aber wusstet ihr, dass es auch Kleidungsstücke gibt, die aus Hanf hergestellt werden?
Wusstet ihr, dass Viskose aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen hergestellt werden kann? Die dafür benötigte Zellulose kann zum Beispiel aus dem Holz von Fichten, Buchen oder aus Bambusfasern gewonnen werden.
Wusstet ihr, dass 100% Naturfasern nicht gleich bedeutet, dass die Rohstoffe ökologisch angebaut wurden?

In den nächsten paar Tagen dieser Woche möchte ich noch näher auf die einzelnen Rohstoffe eingehen. Ihr werdet mehr über Baumwolle, Hanf, Leinen, Jute und Brennnessel erfahren und auch über Wolle und Leder [sowie meine Einstellung dazu].

Ein schönes Abendkleid ist schwer zu finden. Aber dann auch noch ökologisch? Noch schwerer. Und vielleicht auch noch Fairtrade? Fast unmöglich! Dachte ich auch immer. Aber dann habe ich dieses verspielte Kleidchen von Annie Greenabelle, einer umweltbewussten und ökologisch produzierenden Designerin aus Großbritannien, beim Durchstöbern von Modcloth entdeckt.

Diese entzückende Schleife in der Taille, ganz zur Freude meinerseits und diese süßen kleinen Polkadots verwandeln das schwarze Kleid in eine Augenweide. Getragen mit roten Schühchen, hochgesteckten Haaren und Erdbeerlippen ist der Look perfekt.

Lang ist es her, da habe ich solch eine Kette in einem Laden in Disneyland entdeckt. Sofort entzückt, habe ich mir überlegt wie ich so eine Schleifenkette selbermachen könnte.

Eigentlich ist es ganz einfach. Man braucht nur rotes Fimo, einen goldenen Edding und eine Kette. Achja, und diese kleinen Ringchen nicht zu vergessen… Wie heißen die noch gleich?

Mit Modellierwerkzeugen lässt sich das Fimo ganz leicht bearbeiten. Wenn die Form passt, kommt es für ca 30 min in den Backofen bei 130 Grad. Aber die Löcher für die Ringe nicht vergessen. Im Nachhinein lassen sie sich nur schwer hinzufügen. Mit Goldstift bemalen und wer will kann noch eine Schicht Glanzlack darüber tun. Anschließend Ringe und Kette dran und schon ist das Schmuckstück fertig.

Tadaaa!

Heute habe ich es mir gut gehen gelassen. Pizza, Kuchen und Geschenke. 21 Jahr' sind es jetzt. Und passend zum Anlass kann ich bald diese tollen veganen Stiefel mein Eigen nennen. Selbstschenken kann so schön sein.
Diese wunderbaren Stücke habe ich auf Vegetarian Shoes gefunden. Auf der Suche nach fair gehandelten, ökologischen und veganen Schuhen bin ich auf diese Seite gestoßen. Die Schuhe sind trotz einer Art Kunstleder atmungsaktiv. Sie sollen qualitativ sehr hochwertig sein, weshalb sie auch mehr als ein kleines Taschengeld kosten. Dennoch konnte ich nicht an ihnen vorbei. Ich bin gespannt.
Ich werde diesen Blog endlich wieder aufleben lassen. Schade, dass ich ihn so lange vernachlässigt habe. Das soll sich jetzt aber ändern. Ich hoffe es sind mir noch ein paar Leser treu!

Fahrradmode.

Ich hab mir überlegt auf Deutsch und English zu posten. Dann laber ich euch wenigstens nicht so zu da ich alles noch übersetzen muss :D. Na was haltet ihr davon?

Diese beiden Fahrrad Streetstyles habe ich bei Street Smart entdeckt. Sind sie nicht klasse, diese tollen alten Schmuckstücke auf denen sie davon radeln. Und auch ihr Style lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Ich liebe die khaki farbene Jacke im Army-look richtig gerne und dazu die Leostrumpfhose. Toll, toll, toll. Insgesamt diese warmen, natürlichen Töne. Da kann man nicht viel falsch machen, aber langweilig wird es trotzdem nie. Aber ob ich auf solchen Heels Fahrrad fahren könnte, habe ich jetzt noch nicht ausprobiert. Tragt ihr Schuhe mit Absätzen zum Fahrradfahren oder schwört ihr auf Sneakers?

I found these both bicycle streetstyle at Street Smart. Aren't they gorgeous? These great old treasures on which they cycle away. And I also don't have to wish for more style. I love the khaki jacket in army-look and the way she combined the leo tights. Great, great, great. All in all these warm and natural colours. You can't do so much wrong, but it will never be boring. But if I could cycle with these heels, I'm not sure, I've never tried it before. Have you every tried to cycle with heels or do you prefer your good old sneakers?

London Fashion Weekend.

Jajaja believe it or not. I've been there. I saw the Catwalk, I bought Designer Cloths (even a small gift for my lovely sister) and I drunk Champagne for free.

And the best, I could be with my friends Aki and Felipe at the same time. 3 people from three continents. Quite funny. Europe, Asia and South America.

Oh my god. did you hear the horrible news? Alexander McQueen took his life and he was found dead in his home this morning.
That's horrible. He was one of the best designers alive in my opinion. I feel so sad about it and I'm so sorry for his family.

So simple but so great. Just a grey sweaterm a few gold accessories and black heels. Fashion can be so easy. I just cannot get enough of Peaches styles at the moment. I love her way of dressing.

Today I discovered, that I'm not really a fan of Indian food. I just don't like their taste of curry. Japanese food is so much better haha. We went to a restaurant called Bombay. A vegetarian Indian restaurant.
Afterwards my friends went to see the Arsenal match, but I had to colour Leas hair dark brown. Haha. It looks good! I'm a pro :D.
And be proud of me I was swimming today. One hour without break. Hehe but afterwards I just had to eat the last cookies of my grandma. Hahah. Mathildabroetchen i love you.
So and now Sit-ups I'm coming.
And I need a good sleep. The whole next week is party time. Lea's last week. I will be dead afterwards...
haha so if you don't hear anything of me I might lie in bed with a biiig hangover. No joking. I'm broke so that won't be the reason.

Absolutely love this shirt. As it can be combined casual or even a bit more elegant you can wear it in many different ways. Just chose the casual one for school with sequined bonnet, leggins and simple black boots. Do you have any ideas how to wear it? Just tell me I'm always open for new ideas!

I am wearing as well that wonderful Nailpolish 17 in Royal Indigo, that I got from my roommate Aki for Christmas. The colour is stunning. Deep Dark Purple. It's even a bit mysterious. Deeply fallen in love.

Royal colours.

For a long time black nailpolish was the best of the best. But now the darker red and purple shades are fighting to get a place in the fashion world. These wonderful colours in many different shades just seem to be the perfect match at this time of the year. You can choose between Royal Indigo from 17, to Wicked from essie. There are so many different varieties. And for all the girls, who didn't like black because it was too dark, or too rebellish, just take these ones. These colours are classical and elegant and it's a great addition to every outfit from casual to evening dress.

Pink nails and pink flats. Bleached Jeans and white sweater. Extravagant combo but to be honest I like it. I would never wear it the way she does, but it looks quite good on her.

I'd never thought that pink and white can look that good together. Normally pink and white is a no-go for me ~~{except of my new headphones haha}~~ becuase it normally looks so bitchy and gangstaaa, but well done rihanna!

And I looooove her hair like this. Is it her normal haircut with a perm? I even like the haircolour.

Leighton Meester - Gossip Girl.

Is here anyone who has never heard of Gossip Girl? I guess not.

Obviously it's THE Fashion Soap of the Century. Just think about the tragedies, love stories, fashion inspiration and wonderful and expensive dresses. To be honest I've almost never missed Gossip Girl.

Fortunately the actress Leighton Meester hasn't lost her sense of style in real life, although sometimes she absolutely overdoes her style. Most of her looks are too much, especially with her extravagant make-up. But despite of that fact, some of her looks still found their way in my inspiration folder.

Additionally to her Gossip Girl career does she also start as a singer. Well, actually I kind of like her voice but I am more convinced of her potential as an actress. Her songs are not quite the kind of songs I like. But I mean it depends on the taste. Waht do you think about it?

What I actually really admire is her pretty simple performance look at Tao Las Vegas Celebration. She should more often wear such simple looks and more decent make-up. Here she looks so damn pretty. That's the way I like her.

Backlash.

Do you remember the time when I started my blog as a fashion blog? Long, long ago. But indeed, I do miss it.
You cannot see a difference anymore between Geschwisterliebe and Fleckenzwerg. That's senseless. Geschwisterliebe, a blog of my sister Sarah and me, should be a more private blog, more emotion, more family, more friends and life. This Blog should reflect my more creative and free side.
After a long time of neglect I want to pick up this concept.

Tell me what you think about the idea. It should be a more versatile and exciting for you to read more different posts.

What a wonderful day. My family finally visited me after 3 month all alone in Brighton. I showed them around, we went shopping and to many delicious restaurants. The sightseeing was also simply impressive.

Sorry for my absence but I'm at home in Germany at the moment, I am sick and I have to visit so many friends... My mums birthday party was yesterday and I am just tired. This lunch some friends and family visited me and in the evening I am invited to a birthday of a good friend. I hope you don't mind!

I hope you had a great start in the year, mine was alright. A bit chaotic. Maybe some words and picsabout it later.

Today Aki and me were wrapping our Christmas gifts, when I realised that I totally forgot to buy one for Aki (my roommate)!!! Oh shit. It was 2pm and at 4pm the shops would have been closed. I just put on my dress and some shoes and a jacket, run out of the house to get the next bus. Looking totally horrible without any make-up or hair-do, I was looking for a nice, not too expensive gift, as I am now ABSOLUTELY broke. It's nothing left except of a few pence for this month. Haha. GREAT.
Whatever finally found one. Luckily. Why do I always forget anything? At least I realised it before Christmas lunch^^.

Finally bought a new camera. A very cheap one what you easily can see at the qualtity of the pictures. But at least it makes pictures!

Yesterday I fell in love with this leather bag from H&M. I had to buy it. My Christmas gift this year :).

My new home. Hach it's so fantastic I love it. My room is pink :D. Lynda my hostmother is so fabulous and she cooks so tasty. I will be fat if I come home. Not good. Shit.

And there live also 2 cats and a dog. I am fallen in love with this cute doggydog. Her name is Tilly (no not Titty :D gell Madi).

My roommate is a 24 year old girl from Japan. Her name is Aki. Fortunately she is extremely nice. But she cannot speak English so well. But every day it's getting better.

The Downs Hotel.

First day in Brighton. After a pretty long journey we finally arrived. The weather was quite good and when we saw our hotel we were absolutely fascinated. Such a great hotel, so British. But after seeing our rooms, we never wanted to go again. The bed was amazing. The food was also reasonably delicious, even the British breakfast. I haven't tried it before so it was my first time. I liked everything except of the sausages and the baked beans in the morning. But the beer was better than I tought. (But it was Australian beer, so.... :D)

What a wonderful day it was. My mom and me, we were in Karlsruhe to visit my university. It was wonderful weather so sunny and warm. After our visit we went to Subway and as we wanted to go to our car we discovered a huge sofa. It was amazing. Do you know the jacobs coffee tour? You can get coffee for free and they want you to take time for a good talk. They want to show that daily life is to stressy and that you should take time to speak and to take time for your friends and family. That was perfect because a few days later I would be in England. So My mom and me, we could talk a bit and have fun together just sitting there with a coffe in the sun. So fantastic. So take you time to rest.

Good food!!! The right one was my sister's plate and the left one was mine. Yummy! It was our "Goodbye-dinner".It was so good. Thanks to my grandparents, my parents and my sister. This day was just so fabulous and I am missing you so much here in Brighton. Yeah I know I am sorry I am kinda melodramatic the last few days. But I miss u all so much. Amazing sunday. Driving around was so fun ;) and we went to the Sushi Bar. wow. It was so good. Yummy. All you can eat. I never can get enough of Sushi.

This day was so much fun. Haha! These pics are so amazing. It was so incredibly funny to use that crazy thing. It's normally for children. But sometimes being childish is important isn't it?

That was the last shopping I did with my amazing sister before I left Germany. It's always so nice and fun to go shopping with you. You are just like my personal stylist. What shall I do here in England without you? Sweetheart I miss u.

We bought losts of things. I bought a wonderful rose skirt.

My sister bought an amazing rose skirt ,too but shorter, a wonderful dress and nice shirts.

Yesterday I went shopping here in Brighton with a nice German girl, called Vanessa. We went to lots of stores. She bought amazing high heels, a great grey dress and a very cute pyjama.

I only bought a golden necklace in Topshop. I got 10% off because of my student card. Very nice!!

First I wanted to wear thes boots. But than I remembered that I boought these wonderful heels for only 2,45 euros and I had to wear them. Which shoes do you prefer with that look?
